Garments, wraps and pumps
Everything below is prescription supplied and billed to insurance where your plan allows. We carry six garment manufacturers, which means the recommendation is based on your limb rather than on what one supplier stocks.
Garments
Compression stockings and socks, arm sleeves, gauntlets and gloves, in ready-to-wear and custom flat knit — Juzo, Jobst, medi, Sigvaris and Solaris.
Wraps and night garments
Adjustable velcro wraps from Circaid, Jobst FarrowWrap, Sigvaris Compreflex and L&R ReadyWrap, plus night garments including JoViPak and TributeNight.
Compression pumps
Bio Compression Systems pneumatic compression pumps and the full range of pump garments, in 4, 8 and 16 chamber configurations. Home trials available at no charge.

Why Grand Rapids patients come to us
West Michigan has a genuinely deep lymphedema therapy community, and that is a good thing for patients — it means most people arrive already diagnosed, already in treatment, and already knowing roughly what they need. What they often have not had is a proper garment fitting. A therapist can be excellent at manual lymph drainage and still not have a fitting room, six manufacturers on the shelf, and someone whose whole job is measuring limbs.
That is the gap we fill. We carry Juzo, Jobst, medi, circaid, Sigvaris and Solaris, so the garment you end up in is chosen because it suits your limb rather than because it is the one line a supplier happens to stock.
The drive, honestly
About an hour from the Grand Rapids area — US-131 south, then east on M-89 into Richland. From Wyoming, Kentwood or Grandville you are looking at slightly less; from the north side or Rockford, slightly more.
For a custom flat knit garment we would encourage you to make that drive at least once. Measuring for custom takes real time and there is no substitute for doing it in the room. For ready-to-wear, refills and replacements, you almost certainly do not need to.

Do I have to drive to Richland to get fitted?
For a first custom flat knit fitting we would strongly encourage it — about an hour each way, and it is the difference between a garment you wear and a garment in a drawer. For ready-to-wear garments, and for every refill after your measurements are on file, no. Your Grand Rapids therapist can measure and send it to us, or we handle it by phone.
Can my Grand Rapids therapist order through you?
Yes, and many do. They can fax the prescription and measurements to 800-886-4201 or order digitally through Parachute Health at parachutehealth.com/midwestcompression. We verify the insurance benefit, handle prior authorization, and ship to your patient.
How long does it take to get garments in Grand Rapids?
You will hear from us within two business days of your paperwork arriving. After that the timeline is set mostly by your insurance rather than by us — prior authorization is usually the longest step. Ready-to-wear ships quickly once approved; custom flat knit is made to your measurements and takes longer.

Two ways in
Therapist referral, or come to the store
Most Grand Rapids patients reach us one of two ways, and both work well.
Lymphedema therapists — refer to us
If you are a CLT or trained fitter and you measure your own patients, we want your referrals. Send the measurements and prescription and we handle the rest — benefit verification in writing, prior authorization, the order, the appeal if there is one, and shipping.

Patients — come to the store
You are welcome to come to us directly, and we fit you in a private fitting suite — a room with a door that closes, not a curtain in the corner of a shop floor.
That matters more than it sounds. Being measured for compression means undressing to the limb, and being looked at closely by someone holding a tape measure. If you have lymphedema or lipedema you have probably had enough of being examined in places that were not private. You will not be rushed and you will not be on display.
