Where our patients come from
Compression fitting across Michigan
Our fitting suite is in Richland, just east of Kalamazoo, and patients travel to us from across the state. For those further out, we work directly with your therapist or prescriber and ship to you — you do not have to drive three hours to get fitted properly.

Regions
Areas we serve
Drive times below are approximate, from each area to our Richland fitting suite. If you are not on this list, call us anyway — we work with patients throughout Michigan.
Southwest Michigan
15 minutes to 1 hourThis is home. Most Southwest Michigan patients come to us in person, and it is the easiest region to get a proper custom fitting in — measuring for flat knit takes real time, and there is no substitute for doing it in the room. We see a steady stream of referrals from lymphedema therapists across Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, and we can usually get you in within a week of your paperwork clearing.

- Portage
- Richland
- Battle Creek
- Paw Paw
- South Haven
- St. Joseph
- Benton Harbor
Our closest major market — about 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo and Portage patients treat us as their local supplier, which is exactly what we are. If you want to be measured properly, in person, by someone who does this every day, you are already near enough.
West Michigan
About 1 to 1.5 hoursA straight run down US-131 or I-196, and a large share of our patients make it. West Michigan has a deep lymphedema therapy community, and we work with therapists across the Grand Rapids and Holland areas — often the therapist measures, we handle the insurance and the order, and you only come in if a custom garment needs adjusting. Worth the drive if you have been fitted badly before.
- Grand Rapids
- Wyoming
- Kentwood
- Grandville
- Holland
- Zeeland
- Grand Haven
- Muskegon
Our largest market outside Kalamazoo, about an hour straight down US-131. Plenty of patients make the drive; plenty more never have to, because their therapist measures in Grand Rapids and we handle the rest. See our Grand Rapids page →
Lansing and Mid-Michigan
About 1 hour 10 minutesA straight run west on I-96 and M-43. Lansing has a real concentration of lymphedema therapists working out of the hospital systems and outpatient clinics, and most of them measure their own patients — which means you may never need to make the drive at all. Send us the measurements and the prescription and we handle benefit verification, prior authorization and shipping from there.

- Grand Ledge
- Charlotte
- Mason
- St. Johns
If you would rather be fitted in person, the drive is manageable and we book you into a private fitting suite — a room with a door that closes, not a curtain on a shop floor.
Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County
About 1 hour 40 minutesThe far side of I-94 from us, and a region well served by therapists who know how to measure. Most Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti patients work with us at a distance: their CLT takes the measurements, we verify the benefit in writing, submit the prior authorization, appeal it if it is denied, and ship the garment. Custom flat knit is where this matters most, and it works.

Detroit Metro and Southeast Michigan
About 2 to 2.5 hoursThe largest population in the state, and closer to us than Traverse City. Some patients do make the drive to be measured in person, particularly for custom flat knit where getting the fit right the first time saves months. Most work with us through their own therapist instead — the measurements come to us, and we take it from there.

We want your referrals. Send the measurements and the prescription and we handle benefit verification in writing, prior authorization, the order, the appeal if there is one, and shipping. Fax 800-886-4201 or order through Parachute Health.
Tri-Cities
About 2 to 2.5 hoursFar enough that we do not expect you to drive it routinely. For Tri-Cities patients we normally work through your therapist or prescriber — they send measurements, we verify your benefit, and garments ship to your door. Refills and replacements then happen without you travelling at all. If you do want an in-person custom fitting, we will make one trip count and get everything measured at once.

Grand Traverse and Northern Michigan
About 2 to 4 hoursOur furthest region, and the one where working through your provider matters most. Northern Michigan has fewer compression suppliers, which is exactly why patients up here often end up in ill-fitting ready-to-wear when they need custom flat knit. Your therapist can order through Parachute Health or fax us measurements, and we ship direct. Call us before you settle for whatever is locally available.

Not on the list? These are simply the areas most of our patients come from. We work with patients and prescribers throughout Michigan — call 800-883-1549 and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for your situation.
However far away you are
Three ways this works
Distance changes the logistics, not the standard of the fitting. Every custom garment is measured against the same charts and checked the same way.
Come to us
Measured and fitted in our private suite in Richland by a Certified Compression Therapist. Best for custom flat knit, complicated limb shapes, and anyone who has been fitted badly before.
Through your therapist
Your lymphedema therapist or prescriber measures and sends it to us — by fax, or digitally through Parachute Health. We verify the benefit, place the order and ship to you.
Refills without travel
Once you are on file with current measurements, replacements and refills happen by phone. We reach out when you are due, rather than waiting for you to run out.
Every order is verified with your insurance in writing, and we tell you what you would owe before anything is ordered. There is no cost to have your benefit checked.
Getting started
Wherever you are in Michigan, start the same way
Get a prescription from your provider, send us the paperwork, and we take it from there — benefit verification, fitting or measurement, billing, appeals and refills. You will hear from us within two business days.
